AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO D.O.C.G. MAGNUM

Characteristics:

A wine of great prestige, born from a discriminating selection of red grapes typical of Valpolicella Classica.

The grapes are harvested by hand at the peak of maturity and, with great care, are partially dried (a traditional process called appassimento) in dedicated drying chambers.

Vinification:

At the end of January, after a judicious appassimento, the grapes are destemmed and crushed. The resulting must is transferred to dedicated barrels to ferment slowly on the skins for 40 days.

Description

Aging:

After various phases of vinification, the wine is transferred into smaller oak barrels, where it rests for 30 months. Finally the wine is bottle aged for an additional 4 months.

Tasting Notes:

Exhibits an intense ruby red color, forest fruits and wild cherries on the nose. The palate is dry, velvety and harmonious.

Pairing:

Perfect with wild game and aged cheeses.
